How can I solve the problems coming from the interference with LTE signals?
To solve the problems of interference due to the presence of LTE signals (see FAQ K.1) inside the TV system, you can use LTE filters that have to be installed between antenna and amplifier. It is necessary one filter for each band 5 or UHF band input of the amplifier.
What should I use to attenuate a signal with a very high level?
To attenuate signals with a higher level than the others you can use a trap, that is a device equipped with 4 adjustments, which can be tuned all on the same frequency, to suppress a single channel, or on different frequencies, to equalize the different signals.
How select the most suitable frequency on which convert the channel I want to receive?
When you have to perform a conversion to receive a digital signal, to select the most suitable new frequency and, consequently, the most suitable product for this purpose, you have to pay attention to some facets:
1. first of all verify that you have selected a free frequency as new channel for the signal which has to be converted;
2. some conversions are impossible. Once you have identified all the free frequancies, you can refer to the conversions table to verify the feasibility;
3. the conversion of an UHF channel in a band 3 channel is possible but not recommended, as described in FAQ F.4.
Once established the conversion type, you can select the most suitable product among C10 PLL series converters and C20 PLL series converters. The choice depends on the needed gain: 10 or 20 dB, respectively.
Can I convert an UHF signal into a band 3 signal?
Yes, it is possible but not recommended because, while a DTT channel in the UHF band has a 8 MHz bandwidth, the bandwidth of a channel in band 3 is 7 MHz. When performing a conversion of this type it is necessary to verify in advance that the decoder or the TV with integrated decoder are able to receive the converted signal, in other words allow to modify the bandwidth of the channel in band 3 from 7 MHz to 8 MHz. Today this function is available for a few devices.
